Local elected officials and economic development partners are walking the streets to speak with small business owners.
The Lower Columbia Region’s first business walk starts today in Trail.
Those taking part get a chance to connect with proprioters and gauge the pulse of their various operations.
Terry Van Horn the Economic Development Coordinator with the Lower Columbia Initiatives Corporation says opening a dialogue is key.

Van Horn expects to touch base with 300 businesses over the next few days.
The next walk is in Rossland tomorrow and Fruitvale Wednesday.
