It’s federal election day and polls across the nation are open.
In BC you can vote from 7 am until 7 pm.
Returning officer for the Kootenay Columbia riding Rob Switzer says based on what happened in the four days of early voting last week things could be busy.
He says while there were long line-ups in the advance polling in many parts of Canada today’s voting resources are far greater.

He says in his riding for example there are over 240 voting stations today whereas last week they had twenty.
