May 7, 2019

  • Report of trespassers to a vacant residence at the Lower Kootenay Band.
  • Report of a break in to an RV in Boswell.  

May 8, 2019

  • Report of possible mischief to a vehicle in west Creston.
  • Report of an aggressive semi driver in Creston.
  • Report of threats stemming from an ongoing neighbour dispute in Erickson.
  • Complaint from a landlord that a tenant sold property that did not belong to her.
  • Intervened in a landlord tenant dispute involving harassment.
  • Investigated a family dispute that may have resulted in an assault in Kitchener.
  • An argument over the sale of a vape in Kitchener escalated into violence and threats to which police had to intervene.
  • A single vehicle collision on Highway 21 resulted in the drinking driver receiving a 90 day licence suspension and a 7 day vehicle impound.

May 9, 2019

  • A call from a concerned citizen of a person slumped over the steering wheel of a car off Highway 21 turned out to be a tired driver taking a nap after he experienced car trouble.
  • Report of a dog in distress in a vehicle outside a business in Creston. The dog was found to be fine.
  • Report of aggressive dogs in Yahk. Complainant advised to contact the RDCK.

May 10, 2019

  • Report of a nude person sleeping outside a business in Creston. Police attended and ensured the intoxicated individual was unharmed. The naturist was provided a warm place to sleep in police cells until sober.
  • Report of a person in possession of restricted weapons in Creston.
  • Report of possibly intoxicated youth driving. Police located the youth who was not driving at the time.

May 11, 2019

  • Report of a domestic assault in Lister. Police investigated and arrested the suspect. Charges are pending.
  • Intervened in a family dispute over custody conditions.
  • Report of an aggressive Chihuahua in Riondel.

May 12, 2019

  • Request to assist Cranbrook RCMP with a drug impaired driver investigation.
  • Report of lost wallet and ID in a kayak that went missing on the Goat River.

May 13, 2019

  • Report of a theft from a vehicle in Creston.
  • Report that the flaggers in the construction zone in Creston were not doing an adequate job.
  • Investigated a report of a person offering sexual services for pay in Creston. Police spoke to the suspect to warn against unsafe and illegal behaviour. No evidence to proceed criminally.
  • Report of a suspicious male in a van on a laptop outside a residence in Creston. Police attended and found nothing suspicious or criminal as he had permission to share wifi.
