Disappointment is the overall sentiment from the Green Party candidate in the Kootenay-Columbia riding.
Bill Green launched a strong campaign yet his 6.5% share of the vote wasn’t much better than in 2011 when nelson wasn’t even part of the riding.
He suggests some tough questions will be needed if the new Liberal government does not fulfill its commitment to bring in proportional representation.
But Green concedes that even some forms of proportional representation would not have secured his party any seats.
That’s because overall they achieved only 3.4% of the national vote.
