Kozak: More infrastructure dollars expected from Ottawa

Small communities like ours are now expecting more vital infrastructure dollars to come their way from Ottawa.

This from Nelson Mayor Deb Kozak in light of the spending promises of Prime Minister-designate Justin Trudeau.

She says it is clear that small towns don’t have the tax base to fix roads, pipes, sidewalks and arenas, and there’s an expectation more federal money will now flow.

As for the fact our local riding’s elected MP’s who will not be part of the liberal government?

Kozak says the messages coming from Trudeau indicate a willingness for the new federal leadership to work with people of all political stripes.
