The Golf Fore the Cure Tournament hosted at the Creston Golf Club was a thunderous success.
Over $7000 was raised for Breast Cancer Support which will stay in the community and surrounding areas. It’s more than twice the amount from the previous tournament held last year according to organizer Kelly Kemle. Although, this year’s tournament had a slight interruption.
“It was really fun until we had lightning dot the course part-way through,” Kemle explains. “We went inside and we waited the storm out. The storm blew over and then we went back out.”
68 golfers participated ranging in age.
“We had one girl, I think she’s 13, ’til like their 80’s. I’m not kidding.”
The winners of the Golf Fore the Cure Tournament, by low-net results, are Maureen and Doug Kashuba.
