Steve’s Ride Trail perimeter closed for weed eradication

Town crews continue their battle against Poison Hemlock.

A second application of the glyphosate herbicide was made June 5 at 5:00 a.m. on the outer perimeter of Steves Ride Trail near 330 – 11th Avenue South.

Though the trail will remain open, the Town asks that residents do not enter the treated area which has been marked and flagged, before Friday at 2:00 p.m.

Crews took measures earlier this year to remove the dangerous weed  in May. To learn more about Poison Hemlock and the dos and don’ts when it comes to dealing with it, visit the creston.ca website.
