Bear Circle Sculpture finds a home in Creston’s newest park

The Bear Circle sculpture purchase is now complete thanks to the efforts made by the Creston Valley Public Art Connection Society (CVPAC).

$45,000 was raised and one of the conditions put into place by CVPAC is that the Bear Circle be incorporated into the new park being built right beside the Creston and District Community Complex.

“We are working with our design team to make sure that it is placed in an appropriate place in that design.” Says Area B Director Tanya Wall, who announced the Creston Valley Services Committee’s decision to accept the donation and its conditions on  June 6, 2019.

“Kudos really has to go to the Creston Valley Public Art Connection Society and the community for all of their donations and support. this would never have happened without their lead and without their community really supporting this initiative.”

Of the $45,000 raised for the sculpture purchase, one contributor who wishes to remain anonymous, donated $15,000.
