Recreational vehicle users are facing new regulations under BC’s Off-Road Vehicle Act.
The changes come into effect November 1st and encompass safe and responsible use in the back country.
This includes mandatory helmets and safety equipment, supervision for young riders and vehicle registration.
Kokanee Country Snowmobile President, Trish Drinkle says this will help with land use negotiations .
Drinkle says BC is one of the only province’s that hadn’t implemented a registration process and it was a natural progression for the motorized community.
