A suspected human caused fire was contained at the top of the popular Billy Goat Bluffs Trail near Lakeview Arrowcreek Road on June 16.

Creston Fire Rescue (CFR), Wynndel Lakeview Fire (WLFD) and the Canyon-Lister Fire Department (CFLD) responded alongside four BC Wildfire Service crew members according to the CLF Facebook updates.

“We, along with Creston Fire Rescue and Wynndel Lakeview Fire, responded to a wildfire on Foster Rd off Lakeview Arrowcreek Rd. The fire was approximately 0.4 hectares, and was right beside the Billy Goat Bluffs picnic tables. A BC Wildfire Service crew is also on scene. The fire is being held at this time.”

Creston local Trish Drinkle was able to spot the fire from her own back yard. (supplied by Trish Drinkle, Facebook)
