Agriculture Society hopeful with new federal government

Will a new governing party in Ottawa offer more support to farmers than the previous Conservative government .

This question from the Creston Valley Agriculture Society following this week’s federal election.

President, Randy Meyer says he hopes the federal liberals will move forward in addressing farming issues.

Meyer says newly elected NDP local MP, Wayne Stetski, could also offer an opportunity for change as he may provide a stronger voice for Kootenay Columbia in Ottawa than outgoing MP, David Wilks.
