School trustees want more money spent on staffing

Kootenay Lake school trustees are being encouraged to spend an operating surplus on teacher staffing.

Nelson District Teachers Association President Paul Boscariol says the $2.3 million could go a long way.


That’s because there are other demands for the money.

But Boscariol still thinks trustees should devote at least some of the surplus dierctly to classrooms.
