Man sustains serious injured after ATV rollover in Yahk

CRESTON, B.C. – A man was seriously injured in a quad accident in Yahk outside Creston on Sunday afternoon.

The man called for help, and teams from Creston Search & Rescue attended the scene.
According to acting assistant chief Randall Fabbro, the man was conscious but had sustained serious injuries as his ATV-vehicle rolled over and down into a ditch.

A specialized critical care team was flown into the Creston airport by fixed-wing aircraft, where they were met by teams from Creston who brought them to the accident site.
From there the critical care team took over, transporting the patient to Kelowna.
No further details on the extent of the injuries were available Monday afternoon.
