A fourth recreational Cannabis store license was given the green light by the Town of Creston.
Council will give Quantum 1 the needed letter of recommendation to the Province for the proposed storefront on 908 North West Boulevard.
“We have a notification period where we notified residents within the 200 foot radius of the store. We had a two week submission period for responses from the public. We didn’t receive one response in this application.”
That from the Director of Municipal Services Ross Beddoes says there is no cap set by the Town for the number of recreational cannabis storefronts in Creston.
“Council decided to let the market sort it out. We didn’t want to put a cap of one or two or three. Now we have out fourth recommendation. Whether or not they go through with it and actually set up an operation depends on the provincial government and their vetting process.”
Quantum 1 is a division of the Quizam Media Corporation based out of Vancouver. They are currently seeking seven recreational cannabis storefronts in BC, including one in Grand Forks.
