RDCK urges people to “Burn It Smart”

As wood stove use increases with a dip in temperatures, the RDCK wants people to consider using “Burn It Smart” tips.

Environmental Services Coordinator, Nicole Ward says the number one recommendation is to use seasoned wood.

She says this makes it 25 to 30 % more efficient.


Ward says other tips include using an efficient stove, having chimneys and stoves maintained and only burning fire wood.
