A provincial hydrological engineer who has spent many years in our area has been honoured by the Premier.
Kathy Eichenberger is now the Executive Director for the Province’s Columbia River Treaty Review.
She has been honoured for her leadership role in bringing the many different stakeholders together.
She says even though the United States has yet to indicate when they’ll want to re-negotiate the treaty she’s confident BC is well prepared.
Eichenberger has led many social and environmental assessments on major projects in BC and was previously a regional manager for the ministry in Nelson.
