A once forgotten site in Nelson returns to life this weekend.
The Chamber of Commerce is moving out of their Hall St site and into the renovated old CP Rail station at the foot of Baker Street.
The upgrade was talked about over seven years ago and the Chamber assumed it could take up to fifteen years to fully restore.
But Executive Director Tom Thomson says they’ve fast-tracked a lot of work the last twelve months.

The Regional Visitor Gateway , Chamber offices, Kootenay Lake Tourism and community board room will be opening next week at the rail station location.
