But Nelson police say Saturday night could have been worse given the potentially notorious event happened on a weekend and coincided with the time change.
Police had several reports of mischief to vehicles including four slashed tires. There were also three thefts. And there were a handful of complaints about intoxicated people and noise.
There were also the inevitable reports of smashed pumpkins.
