Recycling of beverage containers in Nelson continues to help out the hospital.
Even though the transfer station on Lakeside Drive has closed there are still RDCK bins there for drop-off of the containers.
These are processed by the Nelson Leafs Recycling Centre and profits are give to the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation.
A cheque for $3,500 was presented Wednesday.
This arrangement over the years has resulted in over $46,000 going to the Foundation.
