The late October precipitation has helped kick off the snow season at Whitewater ski resort.
It had been another very dry month until the last week.
Over 60 cms has now dumped the past seven days.
Marketing Director Rebeckah Hornung says that’s about average.

After last year’s super mild winter there isn’t a confirmed weather prediction regarding which way it’ll go, although there are hopeful signs.
Seasons pass sales are down but Hornung says that’s typical following the sort of winter we had last year.
