Repairs to Trail’s Victoria Street bridge will take a little longer than first expected.
Contractor Emcon is bringing in a specialist team from Vancouver Island to help speed things up. They will perform two armour and seal replacements, which protect the foundation from erosion.
Local Division Manager Ken Lawson says single lane traffic will have to continue for a while after that is finished.
He says they are hoping to get the concrete poured for November 13th, which would mean single lane traffic would stay until at least November 20th.
A further three main joints will still need to be addressed early next year.
