Another new addition to Castlegar’s Millenium Park may be on it’s way.
City council has requested $5,000 in funding from BC Hydro to obtain a pollinator meadow for the community gardens at the park.
Councilor Deb McIntosh hopes it will attract more park users.
Besides improving bee population in the area, it would be beneficial to the park’s flora.
If funding is approved the pollinator meadow could be in place by next spring.
