Councilor upset with shared rec situation

A Trail City Councilor is not pleased that they couldn’t reach a deal with the RDKB’s Area B in regards to shared recreation.

Councilor Sandy Santori has issues with Area B’s plan to go to a resident reimbursement program as opposed to paying taxation towards the facilities.

Santori adds he would be in favor of Area B taking the issue to another referendum so residents could have a final say.

But Area B Rural Director Linda Worley says the public input she has received indicates half of her residents are in favor of a reimbursement program and her taxpayers will still be paying towards their local halls and trails.
