Funding has been approved for a forum to bring together the RDCK and Lower Kootenay Band.
It’s through the feds and province’s Community To Community program.
East Shore Director, Garry Jackman says past dealings have been mostly business-related.
He says this will be an informal gathering.

A date and location for the event has not been determined.
The Community To Community program grants are for First Nations elected officials and local government to jointly host forums to discuss issues, challenges and opportunities to work together.
