A pretty serious structure fire at Castlegar’s south end Wednesday morning.
Fire Chief Gerry Rempel says crews responded to a detached garage-shop type building on 4th Avenue that had three vehicles inside.
He says a back hoe was brought in to rip away part of the damaged structure so they could get into the roof where the fire continued to burn.
The cause is under investigation but Rempel suggested it was not suspicious in nature.
