Selkirk pilot project in Crawford Bay well received

A pilot project that brings some of what Selkirk College has to offer to the east shore of Kootenay Lake has proven to be a big success.

Area Director Garry Jackman says the community learning hub at the Crawford Bay school has opened the doors of study to hundreds of people.

The short courses cover things like first aid, forest worker skills and computing.

Jackman says having the Crawford Bay Learning Centre saves some people a four hour return trip to Selkirk College in Nelson and is great for evening classes.
