Bigger holes for RDCK bins

You still won’t be able to toss away your recycling blue bag but a fix of sorts is in the works.

A compromise solution has been voted on by the RDCK board to help rural residents regarding new recycling depot bins.

People have complained the holes on the padlocked bins are too small and it takes too long to dispose of their recyclables.

Here’s RDCK CAO Stuart Horn.

The region moved to the new front access steel bins a few weeks ago rather than having customers dump their big blue bags in an open container.
