The BC government is launching a four year initiative with substantial funding that will see the number of scans increased by 45% annually across the province.
The Regional Director For Diagnostic Imaging Services with Interior Health, Zeno Cescon, says this will allow for much more productivity.
He adds they are in the process of adding more hours for scans at weekends and at either end of weekdays at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.
