The City Of Trail is seeking a three year contract extension with Alpine Disposal And Recycling for refuse collection.
The current deal expires at the end of March.

City council felt a three year contract offered the best flexibility rather than a long term agreement.
He says by staying with Alpine this will ensure there is no service transition issues as they are familiar with the city’s collection system.
Martin says there wont be any changes to service, but council may look at a system that allows only one bag per weekly collection.
