Talk about heat of the moment.
That’s what Nelson police are calling the arson attack on a pick up truck in the downtown this week.
They are seeking charges of arson against a 28 year old man. Sergeant Nate Holt says he has no criminal record nor is he known to police.
It appears to have been some sort of conflict that went too far.
Holt says it’s an isolated incident and the public should not be concerned.
The blaze wrecked the truck causing $20,000 in damage and could have spread to other vehicles or property had fire crews not responded so quickly.
