The Nelson Police Department is applauding the community effort in light of the guilty verdict in the Krista Kalmikoff case.
A jury found Kalmikoff guilty of being a partner in crime of Andrew Stevenson who used a sawed off shot gun to rob two financial institutions last year.
They got caught in the police chase after the Nelson Credit Union robbery.
Here’s Deputy Chief Constable Paul Burkart.
Burkart says the robberies affected the community, especially people working in banks and convenience stores, and he’s giving credit to the crown prosecution for a successful outcome.
