Hats off to the communities in our entire region for their enormous generosity yesterday during the Vista Radio 12 Hour Miracle Marathon.
At least $16,000 in donations and cash was raised for various food banks in the areas that our three radio stations serve.
Final numbers are still coming in.
The public in Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Grand Forks, Rossland and Creston got behind the all-day radio-thon in a big way.
There was also a huge response at the grocery store food bank drive.
Vista Radio donated $5,000 to the Creston Food Bank earlier this year.
