The thrift store in Rossland on Washington Street has undergone some renovations.
Joan Hanson is the president of the Rossland Health Care Auxiliary Society which runs the store.
She says the problems started from a presistant leak in the front window which revealed more issues.
The building is now more accessible from the front with wider stairs, and a fire exit has been added to the basement to bring it up to code.
The Columbia Basin Trust and Teck chipped in to help fund the project.
