Some relief is on it’s way regarding the shortage of primary health care in Kaslo.
Three doctors who work on a part-time basis will manage their hours to expand things to seven days a week starting in the spring.
Aimee Watson, the Rural Director for Rural Kaslo, says that means the area will be served with coverage over weekends.
It has been three years since Kaslo lost it’s 24/7 ER coverage.

Since then new doctors have worked banker hours Monday through Friday.
Watson says Kaslo is actively persuing a paramedicine professional to lend a hand in the community as well.
