Multiple cases of impaired driving keep Creston RCMP busy

Creston RCMP responded to two cases of driving while impaired driving, one that nearly injured officers.

On Oct. 22, officers were nearly hit by an erratic vehicle on Cook Street. After a traffic stop, the driver was found to be drunk.

Police issued a 90-day driving prohibition and impounded the vehicle.

Prior to that incident, just two days before, officers responded to reports of an impaired driver.

After finding the vehicle, the driver was issued a driving prohibition and the vehicle was also impounded.

Including the two impaired driving incidents, Creston RCMP received 58 calls from Oct. 17-23.

They include a firearms complaint, multiple cases of people falling victim to scams, a public harassment incident, and more.
