Of the 58 calls RCMP received over the week of Oct.24-30, it seems most of them involved drivers that should not be behind the wheel.
On the 26, officers found a van in the ditch with its only occupant impaired and with no driver’s license. The driver was given a court date and the van was impounded.
Two days later, officers were at the scene of a single-vehicle collision on Highway 3 and found that the driver did not have a license and was not allowed to be driving. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was impounded.
Finally, the next day, officers found a stolen vehicle. The driver was arrested and released with a future court date.
Lastly, RCMP say they have had multiple reports of drivers failing to stop for school buses. They would like to remind everyone that failing to stop for a bus can result in a $368 fine and also endangers children’s lives.
