There is a perceived notion that Trail city council’s afternoon Governance and Operations Committee meetings are behind closed doors.
But this is not the case.
Councilor Robert Cacchione believes that having the GOC meetings in council chambers where the official council meetings take place would be a better option.
He is speaking after a discussion of streaming the meetings online was shot-down as it was too expensive.
Cacchione feels council already strives for transparency by posting all decisions made in the GOC’s online.
