The new pipe-pedestrian bridge will be a landmark in Trail for years to come.
This from Jamie Forbes with the Trail Historical Society who has been invited by the city to join the group that is overseeing the naming process for the new Columbia River crossing.
He says the goal is to pick a name that will be “meaningful and lasting” to the area.
Forbes says asking the public to submit possible names has given the group a broad spectrum of potential monikers from a number of people with different views.
The group hopes to have a list of the top five possible bridge names ready for February 1st.
