Two part-time contract positions may be part of the path to a unified approach to economic development in the Creston Valley.
Plans to secure both an Economic Development Coordinator and Events Coordinator have been approved by Creston Council and RDCK Areas B and C.
Mayor Ron Toyota says the decision is in the preliminary stages but the positions would be paid for through an existing tax agreement.
Toyota says that tax may have to be slightly massaged to cover all the costs but any increase would be very minimal.
Fleshing out what the two new jobs would entail is expected to happen this year.
