RCMP investigate stolen vehicle

An investigation is under way following a recent vehicle theft in Creston.

RCMP say a 2001 Subaru was reported stolen from a Crawford Street residence on January 11.

A report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a business the next day led RCMP to the stolen Subaru, which was eventually dumped at a third location on Devon street.

RCMP used a dog to help track where the thief had fled but didn’t locate a suspect.

The recovered Subaru has been set aside and is awaiting forensic testing for fingerprints and DNA.
