The contract has been awarded for the installation of decorative lighting for the Victoria Street Bridge in Trail.
Mayor Mike Martin says there was a few potential suitors for the project.
The low-bidder was Power Tech Electrical Limited, a company based out of Trail.
Martin is pleased that a local company will have the opportunity to leave their lasting legacy on the bridge for many years to come.
The contract bid from Power Tech is just over $447,000.
