The Kuskanook Harbour Society is hoping to tap into CBT’s new Rec Infrastructure Grant Program.
Funding is needed for repairs to the harbour’s wooden breakwater.
It’s located on the East shore of Kootenay Lake about 25 minutes north of Creston.
Volunteer Howard Boyle says the harbour is 30-years old and the water fluctuations are taking a toll.

Boyle says the harbour is one of the few ports for boats and access on Kootenay Lake and used by locals and tourists.
The upgrade would cost about $400, 000.
The Kuskanook Harbour is volunteer run and funded through launches and mooring rentals.
