Our local governments are offering a recreation freebie for regular users of the regional transit system.
This year anyone with an expired monthly bus pass can get a one-off free entry to any of our region’s recreation facilities.
It’s called the Swim Or Gym program.
BC Transit’s Mike Russell says it starts next week.
The initiative is about promoting active and healthy transportation and lifestyle choices.
The freebie is available at the rec centres in Trail, Castlegar, Nelson and Salmo.
