Creston Fall Fair fills flat stables

The Creston Fall Fair was a raging success this weekend, with locals from all over the valley gathering at the Creston Flat Stables to catch the action.

Livestock, produce, art, and more were on full display while onlookers partook in various food trucks and treats.

Despite the new location and change of venue, Fall Fair President Kevin Viers says it was a great turnout.

“We’ve had lots of enthusiastic people. The sunshine is just gorgeous. And it looks like everybody is having a good time.”

He says they saw more visitors than expected, but don’t have the official number yet.

Those attending the fair had a chance to watch various horse events, including a wagon pull and toilet paper race.

Viers says the new location adds to the experience.

“As you can tell, we’re standing on dirt, not pavement,” added Viers.

“It’s been just an absolute, wonderful experience. Brings back the old country fair feel. A lot of people are like, this is what we had when we were young, so it’s been a real positive experience.”

The Creston Valley Farmer’s Market also made an appearance on Saturday, adding to the fall fair fun.
