The Columbia Basin Trust is rolling out a program aimed at creating opportunities for youth to become more engaged with their communities.
The Basin Youth Network will build on and incorporate the Community Directed Youth Funds program which was established in 2011.
Lisa Kilpatrick is the CBT’s Senior Manager of the Delivery And Benefits program and will oversee the network.
She says it will span 19 communities, and each will be led by a Regional Coordinator.
The program will receive just over $1.5 million annually over the next three years.
