Selkirk College is looking to raise $50,000 in student financial aid.
This for the school’s 50th Anniversary Legacy Fund with money going towards scholarships and bursaries.
Here’s Joleen Kinakin, the Selkirk College Donor Relations Coordinator
She says the bursaries are particularly important because students continue to have trouble making ends meet while furthering their post-secondary education.
Seed funding in the form of $10,000 has already been raised from the Selkirk College Gala 2015 in November.
