Wudrick retires from Creston Valley Thunder

The Creston Valley Thunder will be searching for new leadership after head coach and general manager Geordie Wudrick announced his retirement, effective immediately.

Wudrick is stepping away to pursue other life goals, a decision the organization said it supports.

“The Creston Valley Thunder would like to thank Geordie for his efforts, professionalism, care, and steadiness that set the standard for our players for the past 2 seasons. We wish Geordie the absolute best as he moves on in pursuit of his further life goals,” said Brandon Buliziuk, president of the Creston Valley Thunder.

The team has named head scout Matt Rolfe interim head coach and general manager while it searches for a permanent replacement.

“Matt brings over 20 years of experience in Junior Hockey to the table and has the full faith of the organization during this transitional period. We look forward to seeing recruiting success for our club as a result of Matt’s years of scouting experience.”
