Major Crime Unit investigating suspicious disappearance of man from Trail

The B.C. RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation into the disappearance of Mark Konrad of Trail.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in determining the circumstances surrounding Konrad’s disappearance. His last confirmed interaction was with RCMP officers in late June 2025.

Konrad is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • 51 years old
  • Five-foot-nine (175 centimetres)
  • 220 pounds (100 kilograms)
  • Brown hair (balding)

Police said there have been no confirmed sightings of Konrad since that time. His unexplained disappearance, and the absence of any benign explanation, are causes for concern.
