Water sanitization increase for Creston as crews repair watermain break

Workers for the Town of Creston have observed mud and sediment entering the area where they are repairing a watermain break.

The water system’s chlorination levels will be increased over the next two to three days to ensure sanitization continues.

Residents may notice a chlorine taste or smell during this time, but there is no impact on water quality.

The Town of Creston said it will continue monitoring the system and provide updates as more information becomes available.
