FortisBC will temporarily interrupt electricity service to about 4,800 customers in Creston Sunday morning for planned infrastructure upgrades.

The outage will begin at 6 a.m. on Oct. 25 and run until noon.

FortisBC said crews will be replacing power poles and other structures along a transmission line serving the area.

It said the work is intended to maintain safe and reliable electricity service and has been planned to minimize disruptions.

“We appreciate our customers’ patience while our crews complete this work safely and as quickly as possible,” said Fortis in a statement.
